Energy feasibility studies expert advises companies on Renewable Heat Incentive
As a renewable technologies advisor, Concept Energy Solutions is excited to share its practical experience of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), now that the domestic version has launched.
“We’ve been involved in supporting companies in the non-domestic space with the RHI process since the very beginning,” says Peter Stockwell, one of our directors. “During this time, we’ve seen the considerable benefits of the scheme, as well as its common – and not-so-common – difficulties.”
“For example,” he adds, “we have been approached by a few firms that tried to navigate the scheme on their own. They installed a biomass boiler or other renewable technologies, but were confused because they were yet to see returns from RHI. Why? Because they hadn’t appreciated the fairly complex guidelines and had not installed a compliant metering system.”
At Concept Energy, we have accredited Independent Assessors among our staff, who are able to provide these businesses with an Independent Report on Metering Arrangements (IRMA). “We know all about the ins and outs, and can help fill in the necessary paperwork, saving on a lot of stress for those of who aren’t so RHI-savvy!” says Peter.
“This established capability means we are geared up to support firms, with the necessary IRMA templates and accredited professionals already in place,” says Peter.
“We are looking forward to continuing our work with those firms leading the way on renewable heat. We know how vital it is to complete RHI applications quickly to ensure payments arrive with no unnecessary delay – which is all too often.”
