Carbon consultancy welcomes UK manufacturing growth
The UK manufacturing sector has recorded the ninth consecutive month of strong output growth, according to a study released earlier this month.
These rates of growth in production and new orders are among the highest in the 22-year Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) survey history. The figures suggest that, despite a slight dip in December, this improvement should continue into 2014.
The sector has also seen a rise in jobs since May and is predicted to continue to contribute positively to the economic market recovery.
