Concept Energy Solutions strengthens leadership team with internal promotions
Concept Energy Solutions has promoted Alan Kiff and Jamie Green to more senior leadership positions, marking a new chapter of growth for the company.
Alan Kiff, formerly Head of Consulting at Concept, has been promoted to Technical Director. In his new role, Alan is responsible for technical excellence across the whole of the business, which includes ensuring that the skills of the Consultants and Analysts are maintained to the highest standard.
Alan is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years’ energy management experience; he is widely considered as one of the foremost experts in his field. Alan also has a broader brief in his new role, spearheading continual improvement of the systems and processes used within the business. This provides Concept’s clients with the benefits of advances in energy management and reporting technology.
Jamie Green, formerly Senior Consultant and decarbonisation team leader, takes over from Alan as Head of Consulting. Jamie joined Concept in 2018 and has nearly 15 years’ experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy, notably building services decarbonisation solutions and energy modelling.
In addition to management of the consultancy department as a whole, Jamie will continue to lead the delivery and development of Concept’s decarbonisation consultancy work, including renewables feasibility studies and heat decarbonisation studies.
Concept provides independent, specialist energy expertise to facilities management firms, engineering consultancies and large energy users, across the public and private sector.
Founded in 2008, the company prides itself on long-term, collaborative partnerships with clients that get to the heart of their building energy challenges. Concept works with a variety of organisations and sectors, including Centrica, CBRE, Amey, Broadgate Estates and several councils and NHS trusts. Services include decarbonisation consultancy, energy compliance, energy bureau services and energy management.
Peter Stockwell, Managing Director at Concept, said:
“We are seeing increased demand for our building decarbonisation expertise as FMs and engineering consultancies respond to their clients’ net zero briefs. Alan and Jamie are excellent at what they do, and in their new roles they will be ensuring that we continue to deliver operational excellence in this growth area.”
Alan Kiff said: “Whilst the fundamentals of energy management and decarbonisation of buildings remain constant, the technologies that can be deployed are changing at pace. It is Concept’s role to keep abreast of these changes to provide our clients with the best possible independent advice so that they can make informed decisions.”
Jamie Green said:
“I’m delighted to be leading the consultancy department in delivering best-in-class services for clients. The team already delivers consistently high-quality consultancy based on sound knowledge of building services, engineering principles and relevant legislation; I look forward growing our core services with new and existing clients and, as a trusted partner, helping them face the growing pressures of energy management and decarbonisation.”
